Portadown hosted Carrick at Chambers Park on Saturday past.
Portadown started the game positively and applies a lot of pressure in the first half. It took them to just before half time to get on the score sheet. Fullback Michael Orr slicing through the Carrick defence to score under the posts. The score was 7-0 at half time.
Portadown started the second half again on the front foot and scored a great team try with Jake Taylor scoring in the corner.
Shortly after Danny Alexander crashed over from a 5metre penalty to take the score to 19-0.
Portadown scored their fourth and bonus point try after Carrick illegally pulled down a maul that was going over the line and the referee awarded a penalty try.
Carrick managed to get a consolation with the last play of the game. The game finished 26-7 to Portadown.
Portadown travel to Ballymoney RFC on Saturday 03th February.
