Portadown hosted Randalstown RFC on Saturday past.
Portadown started the game slowly and it was Randalstown who managed to score first. Portadown finally came in to the game and got onto the front foot. Some great handling out wide seen Hooker Tom Neill crash over for Portadowns first score. The try was converted by Full Back Niall Davidson. Portadown kept the pressure on and managed to score again shortly after with Centre Brandon Gribben getting over for the try. This was again converted by Davidson. Captain Michael Orr got Portadowns next score with a great individual run from his own half. Davidson converted again. Randalstown came back into the game at the end of the first half scoring another try. 21-14 at the half.
Portadown came out strong at the start of the second half and they scored first with Centre Gribben dotting down under the posts for his second try of the day. It was Andrew Morrisons turn next to get over the line next after some great play by Portadown. Davidson converted again from out wide. Randalstown got the final score of the game which finished 33-19 to Portadown.
Portadown travel to Enniskillen next Saturday with all support welcome.
