Mini Rugby Is Back!

Mini Rugby will start back for some age groups on the 5th Sept.

Procedures will be slightly different this year due to the circumstances we find ourselves in.

As we all have to adhere to a number of regulations from the NI Executive, IRFU and Ulster Branch, there will be some changes in place for the start of the season. The same principles still apply though to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the kids of all abilities to play and learn rugby.

Hopefully by now those who have been with us from last season will have received an email to join ClubForce App. It is essential that you sign up for this. All the administration for the all of Portadown RFC will be carried out via the app. This includes subs and more importantly the Covid declaration for fit to train. This MUST be completed weekly for each and every session by 8.30am. If this is not completed your child will NOT be allowed to take part.

If you are bringing your child to Mini Rugby for the first time you must provide the following details in advance in order to be set up on the app;

Child’s name
Child’s date of Birth
Parent/Guardians email
Parent/Guardians mobile

Please forward to

A one way system will be in operation. Entrance will be via the main Club entrance and exit will be via Asda.

You should park / drop off you child on the gravel pitch.

Your child should proceed to your coaching team who will check the Covid Medical declaration has been made. Hands will be sanitised and the child will then move directly to their designated training area.

Safe areas will be in operation for parents to watch. Obviously social distance should be maintained and parents are asked not to go on to the pitches.

When training is over hands should be sanitised and the kids move directly to the gravel pitch.

There will be no Tea / coffee stall in operation.

On the 5th September the following teams will return at the following times:

P7 9am to 10am
P6 9.10am to 10.10am
P5 9.20am to 10.20am
U12s 9.30am to 10.30am

We know that some siblings may be starting at different times, but we please ask you to respect the timings for the health and safety of all involved.

The guidance from all official bodies is constantly changing so we have to adapt and adhere to these as directed.

It is hoped that the P4s to P2s will begin on the 12th Sept and we will try and get these teams starting between 9am and 9.30am also.

All the coaches look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks.
