Senior Men’s Team Managers 2024/25

Hear from our senior men’s team managers, RJ Greenlee and David Rainey as they prepare for the season ahead!

Rj Greenlee, 1st XV Manager says –

“It is my privilege to serve PRFC as 1stxv manager for the upcoming season. A surgery to my hip late last season has meant I’ll be sidelined for the full season. This role will allow me to stay involved with the team and help them out in whatever way that I can. I would like to express my thanks to our new and current sponsors. With a special thanks to our new title sponsors Manfreight.

With so many new faces and new coaches down at training i’m incredibly excited about what this season holds for us. We have also just signed a new deal with Canterbury so the whole club is looking forward to our new jerseys and off field kits arriving soon. I would also like to thank out going 1stxv manager Neil Bicker for his many years service to this role. Finally I wish all teams from all sections at PRFC the best of luck this season”

David Rainey, 2nd XV Manager said –

“After enjoying my initial season as manager of PRFC’s 2’s, I was very flattered to be asked to stay on in the role for the 2024/25 season especially given the exciting changes the hierarchy within the club have put in place to keep the senior squad moving forward.

We have had an influx of new and returning players with numbers for preseason very impressive indeed. Lads stepping up from our own youth system, local schools, returning past players and new signings have created a healthy competition for places and that coupled with the extra coaching staff on board has helped make these lads equipped and eager for the new season ahead.

It really is exciting times at PRFC as the club have announced the new club store on the back of new kit which is produced by none other than Canterbury who are one of if not the leading name in rugby sportswear. And to have a new sponsor from the local well respected haulier company Manfreight shows the clubs decision makers know the importance off working along side the very best.

What an exciting season we have ahead for all the senior squads. Make sure to get down and support the lads and I know you will enjoy the style of rugby we have in store.”
