Senior Womens 1st XV Match Report
The match started out with pretty equal possessions for both sides with good carry’s from Kellie Lavery and Sarah McMaster. Jennifer McCall and Tracy Irwin supported this with some great tackles
First try went to Ophir after a good period of pressure 0-7
Great pressure again from Portadown
Ophir overran a good scoring opportunity but they put in a good push from the restart and came away with the points 0-14
Portadown were pushing hard on the Ophir line but didn’t manage to convert it to points before the end of the first half
Portadown came out strong for the second half with Ali McCann scoring a try off a good set play from the Scrum 5-14
Ophir retaliated with a try down the wing after sustained push from Portadown 5-21
